Fruits, Fruits and Lots of Fruits

This past month, we have rescued so many fruits, over 200,000 pounds of fresh fruits!

Rescued Fruit

Grapes, mangoes and watermelon are so popular, especially during the Summer months. It is very fulfilling that not only can we provide the food that the hungry children need, but they are getting the nutritional benefits of the fruits that will make them healthy.

Our heartfelt thanks to The 3000 Club Members for making this happen.

Hands Across The Border!

Thanks to The 3000 Club Members, on July 1st, we have been able to expand the Hands Across the Border Program from three to SEVEN days a week!

The Hands across the Border Program is comprised of 1,500 registered impoverished families, which represents over 9,000 individuals, who can now come across the border every day to take back the rescued produce for their children needs. They are allowed to bring back 150 pounds of produce per day.

These are the poorest of the poor and we are just so glad that we are able to help them now on a daily basis.

Networking Event

The launching of our very own The 3000 Club Networking event on Friday, July 18, 2008 at Copper Star Bank located at 20565 N. 19th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85027 was a huge success!

Networking

The event which started at 8:00 a.m., was sponsored by Advantage Land Title. We are grateful to Greg Mihelich, President for his attendance and sponsorship of the wonderful breakfast treat. Greg was accompanied by his staff: Viky Logie, Bernadette Welding and Lidia Cruz-Whitmower.

We sincerely express our thanks to Copper Bank who was represented by Frank Draper, Loan Officer and Angela Blair, Personal Banker. Copper Star Bank has agreed to host us again on two Fridays, August 8 and 22, 2008 from 8-9 a.m.. We hope to hold all our future events at Copper Star Bank regularly, every second and fourth Fridays of each month. Our Member Speaker for the August 8th event is Kristi Lee from Send Out Cards.

Networking is free and everyone is encouraged to bring in guests. Brush up on your “60-Second Commercial, make a connection, start building a relationship and generate leads. Please bring in your business cards and marketing materials. We welcome catering sponsors for our future events.
